Layby Policy

Secure a piece of genuine jadeite today and pay it off over time. Choose LayBy at checkout, pay a deposit, and the balance is collected in automatic instalments, processed securely by Stripe through our layby partner FlexiLay. No credit checks, no interest.

By selecting LayBy at checkout, you agree to the terms below. These terms sit alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded.

1. Eligibility

LayBy is available on all products on our website.

2. Deposit & Payment Terms

Deposit: choose a deposit of between 20% and 50% of the total purchase price at checkout. Your deposit reserves your item and removes it from sale.
Instalments: the remaining balance is paid in up to 6 instalments, either fortnightly or monthly – you choose at checkout. This means a maximum term of 12 weeks on a fortnightly plan, or 6 months on a monthly plan.
Automatic payments: instalments are charged automatically to your nominated card on the dates shown at checkout. You'll receive an email receipt each time a payment is collected.
Service fee: a one-off LayBy service fee of 5% of the plan total is added to your first payment and shown at checkout before you confirm.
Your LayBy portal: every email includes a link to your private portal, where you can see what's paid and what's due, catch up an overdue instalment, pay early or chip in extra to finish sooner, and update your card.

3. Holding & Dispatch

Your item is held securely and reserved for you. It remains the property of Luxe Jadeite until paid in full.
Your order is dispatched only after your final payment has cleared.

4. Cancelling Your LayBy

You may cancel at any time before dispatch by emailing contact@luxejadeite.com.
We will refund all amounts you have paid, less the Termination Fee in Section 5.

5. Termination Fee

A Termination Fee applies if you cancel, or if your LayBy is cancelled for non-payment. It covers administration, secure holding and the time your item was off the market.

Orders under $500 AUD: a flat fee of $50 AUD.
Orders of $500 AUD or more: 10% of the total order value, capped at $500 AUD.
If the amount you have paid is less than the Termination Fee, you will forfeit what you have paid but will not be charged anything further.

6. Missed or Failed Payments

If an instalment fails, you'll receive an email with a one-tap link to pay or update your card.
We automatically retry the payment up to 3 times, with a reminder email at each attempt.
If the instalment is still unpaid, you'll receive a final 48-hour notice. If it remains unpaid after that, your LayBy will be cancelled, the item returned to sale, and amounts paid refunded less the Termination Fee.
You can catch up at any time before cancellation through your LayBy portal.

7. If We Can't Supply Your Item

If we can no longer supply your item (for example, it is lost or damaged) or we cease trading, you will receive a 100% refund of all amounts paid, with no fee.
