Sizing Guide

Bangle sizing

Every bangle listing shows an inner diameter (ID) in millimetres — that's the number that determines whether it will fit your hand. Because Burmese jadeite bangles are carved from a single piece of natural stone, they don't stretch or resize, so getting this measurement right matters more than with most jewellery.

The most reliable way: measure a bangle that already fits you well. Lay it flat and measure straight across the inside, from one inner edge to the other — that number in millimetres is your ID. Match it to the "Measurements (ID)" figure on any listing.

No bangle to measure from? Measure your hand instead:

  • Hand width: hand flat, fingers together, thumb tucked in — measure straight across the widest part of your palm, just below the knuckles.
  • Hand circumference: wrap a soft tape measure around your hand at its widest point — across the four knuckles, thumb tucked in — exactly as you would when sliding a bangle on.

Hand width Hand circumference Bangle size (ID)
62–66mm 130–150mm 50–52mm
66–70mm 150–170mm 52–54mm
70–74mm 170–190mm 54–56mm
74–78mm 190–210mm 56–58mm
78–82mm 210–230mm 58–60mm
Above 82mm Above 230mm Above 60mm

If you're between sizes, size up rather than down — a bangle needs to pass over the widest part of your hand to go on at all.

Bracelet sizing (beaded)

Our beaded bracelets arrive pre-strung from the original supplier and mostly come in standard sizes. Size is measured as the bracelet's internal circumference — the loop the beads form once strung, measured around the inside.

Most bead bracelets are strung on stretchy elastic cord for ease of wear, so while the jade beads themselves are rigid, the bracelet as a whole has a little give. Some pieces instead use a non-stretchy cord with a clasp — a twist clasp, magnetic clasp, or a standard clasp — and for these, sizing adjustments may be offered as an additional service.

Every listing shows the bracelet's original strung size, as it arrived from the supplier.

To find your size: measure your wrist circumference in centimetres with a soft tape measure, then use the guide below.

No tape measure handy? Wrap a strip of paper or string around your wrist, mark where it overlaps, then measure that length against a ruler — that's your wrist circumference.

Wrist size (cm) Recommended bracelet size
13 14–14.5cm
14 15–15.5cm
15 16–16.5cm
16 17–17.5cm
17 18–18.5cm
18 19–19.5cm

If your wrist falls between two sizes, we'd generally suggest sizing up slightly for everyday comfort.

Restring service: available as an add-on at checkout. You're also welcome to contact us before or after your purchase to discuss the details of a restring.

Ring sizing

We carry two types of rings, and it's worth knowing which one you're looking at before you buy:

Adjustable rings (noted as "Ring size: adjustable" in the listing) have an open, flexible band and are designed to fit most finger sizes — no measuring needed.

Fixed-diameter rings (listed with a "Measurements (ID)" or "Ring size" figure in millimetres) are a closed band, like a miniature bangle for the finger — they don't adjust, so the fit needs to be right from the start.

The most reliable way: if you already own a ring that fits the intended finger well, measure straight across its inner circle in millimetres and compare it to the ID figure listed on the ring.

No ring to measure from? Wrap a strip of paper or string snugly around the base of the finger you'll wear it on, mark where it overlaps, and measure that length in millimetres — that's your circumference. Use the chart below to convert it to a diameter and international size.
